Planning Applications

Members of The Pembury Society Committee monitor and scrutinise all planning applications which affect Pembury Village .

The Committee Members meet once a month, except August and December, when they consider contentious applications. Their decisions as to whether comments or objections should be sent to the Planning Services Department of the Tunbridge Wells Borough Council are decided by a majority vote.

The Planning Officer on the Pembury Society Committee monitors all planning applications affecting Pembury and also keeps detailed records of all these applications. He or she drafts all letters of objections including comments to both the Borough Council and the Planning Inspectorate.

A resume of all these decisions made by the Committee appear in a regular article called "Successes and Failures" in The Pembury Society's Newsletter "Pembury Matters".
